- WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY?
Educators Link Management, LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) recognizes and supports the need for reasonable protection regarding the privacy of Personal Information collected by or through the Company.
You may have access to Member Personal Information while providing Consultant Services. You have no claims of ownership to this Personal Information. For this reason, we have developed and adopted this Privacy Policy regarding the collection, processing, storage, use, disclosure, and protection of Personal Information to comply with applicable law and to uphold the Company's reputation.
- WHO DOES THIS POLICY APPLY TO?
This Policy applies to Consultants for The Educators Link.
- WHAT IS THE COMPANY’S PRIVACY NOTICE?
Our Privacy Notice is posted on our Website and describes to anyone who accesses our Website, our practices relating to, among other things, how we collect Personal Information, how we use it and with whom we share it. It is important that any Member information that you access, collect, process, store, use, disclose and protect is consistent with the practices set forth in our Privacy Notice.
- WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Personal Information includes information that, alone or in conjunction with other information, identifies an individual or relates to an individual as an identifiable person. Some examples include the following:
- Personal White Page Information (e.g., home postal address, home telephone number, home fax number, personal email address, personal home or mobile number);
- Personal Characteristics (e.g., age, date or place of birth, pronouns, leisure and interests, photographs);
- Professional and Employment (e.g., service fee, license number, employee user id or password);
- Other Information (e.g., unique persistent identifiers such as IP address, geolocation information and activities associated with such geolocation, IM screen name, purchase or return information);
- Financial account numbers and any associated security code, access code or passwords that may permit access to that person’s financial account; or
- Passwords or PINS that may allow access to systems that contain Personal Information.
Sensitive Personal Information is defined as more sensitive pieces of Personal Information and includes the following:
- Medical information or health status including any information regarding an individual's medical history, mental or physical condition, or medical treatment, payment or diagnosis by a health care professional;
- Biometric data, such as fingerprints or retinal images, excluding images of facial characteristics when captured from open and obvious physical surveillance cameras;
- Information relating to sex life, sexual behavior or sexual orientation;
- Racial or ethnic background;
- Political opinions;
- Philosophical beliefs;
- Religious beliefs;
- Trade union membership;
- Information arising from background checks; or
- Information relating to actual or alleged criminal history.
Additionally, Student Information means the Personal Information, data or records of students. Whereas Teacher or Principal Information means Personally Information from the records of an educational agency relating to the annual professional performance reviews of classroom teachers or principals that is confidential and not otherwise subject to release.
- WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION MIGHT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO IN CONNECTION WITH PROVIDING CONSULTANT SERVICES?
We will only provide you with access to Personal Information about our Members that is consistent with our Privacy Notice and necessary for you to complete the Consultant Services for which you were retained by us to perform for that Member. Members may similarly provide you with Personal Information about themselves for these purposes. Some examples may include Personal White Page Information, Personal Characteristics, Professional and Employment Information or Other Information.
You must never collect, process, store, use or disclose such Student Information, or Teacher or Principal Information, or Member Sensitive Personal Information.
- WHAT INFORMATION MIGHT I COLLECT IN CONNECTION WITH PROVIDING CONSULTANT SERVICES?
We ask that you thoughtfully consider your collection practices. You must limit collection of Personal Information to only that which is relevant and reasonably necessary to accomplish the intended purposes.
You must never access, collect, process, store, use or disclose Student Information, or Teacher or Principal Information, or Member Sensitive Personal Information.
- HOW CAN I USE THE MEMBER PERSONAL INFORMATION TO WHICH I AM PROVIDED ACCESS?
You must only use Member Personal Information for the purposes necessary to fulfill your Consultant Services. For example, you cannot market to Members using their Personal Information. You may not send marketing solicitations to Members.
You must never collect, process, store, use or disclose such Student Information, or Teacher or Principal Information, or Member Sensitive Personal Information.
- TO WHOM CAN YOU DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
You must not disclose any Personal Information of one individual or Member to another individual or Member without first seeking our prior written authorization. It is important that our data handling practices are consistent with what is included in our Privacy Notice.
You must never collect, process, store, use or disclose such Student Information, or Teacher or Principal Information, or Member Sensitive Personal Information.
- HOW DO YOU RETAIN, DESTROY AND MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT YOU MAY HAVE COLLECTED, MAINTAINED OR STORED?

- WHAT IF THIS POLICY IS VIOLATED?
Any violation of this Policy may result in termination of your Consultant Agreement. This Policy is not, and is not to be construed as, a contract of employment between Educators Link Management, LLC or its Affiliates and any Consultant.
Any Consultant, who is requested to undertake an activity which he or she believes is in violation of this Policy, must report his or her concerns as soon as possible by emailing info@educatorslink.com or calling 1 (888) EDLINK-1
- WHAT YOU SUSPECT AN INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED?
Please immediately Contact Us by immediately sending an email to info@educatorslink.com with “POTENTIAL DATA SECURITY INCIDENT” in the subject line or calling 888.EDLINK.1 indicating that there is a potential privacy incident.
