About Yonina Lermer

Yonina Lermer has over sixteen years of experience in education, having taught nearly every grade-level and subject in elementary and middle school. Yonina is a classroom teacher and has served as her school’s Elementary School Literacy Curriculum Coordinator. In this role, Yonina coached educators to implement curriculum in an engaging manner, and how to effectively instruct their students in reading and writing.

Yonina also works as a teacher-mentor with new teachers entering the field of education. She has spent over a decade working in various roles in summer camps and youth programs. Yonina coaches and mentors parents to become healthy advocates for their children, providing parents with strategies and skills to help them succeed.

That’s not all! Yonina is also children's book author who teaches children the value of making a continued effort toward the things they love, even when it gets hard! She has a passion for connecting with others and helping them fail forward. (She also really loves pizza!)

Yonina is a licensed New York State teacher with a Masters in Elementary Education and a Masters in Judaic Studies.

Yonina has a natural talent for keeping both children and adults engaged by presenting powerful ideas in a creative, concrete, and easy-to-understand way. As an experienced educator, Yonina helps teachers learn how to do that too! Additionally, Yonina is passionate about helping teachers improve their communication with parents and offers feedback that will make a real difference. Yonina's area of expertise lies in creating a classroom environment where teachers can establish authentic relationships with their students while maintaining a structured and disciplined approach to learning.
